This master-planning study in Manhattan, looks at a large neglected slice of land stretching from w34th to w45th streets between 10th and 12th Avenue, encompassing the Hudson River waterfront. After analysing existing site conditions, including transport,land-use zoning, open space and future trends, a program was developed to terminate w42nd street at the water's edge with a water gate and major riverfront plaza, incorporating the existing Intrepid Aircraft Carrier museum and a new New Jersey - Manhattan Ferry terminal. The neighbouring but currently isolated New York convention and exhibition center is connected into the new proposal with commercial development along 11th Avenue.
