Complete makeover of a waterfront, top floor apartment in a Federation era walk-up, located in Birchgrove, at the end of Yurulbin Point.
The existing dark, compartmentalised, single bedroom apartment, with kitchen in the rear, was in a severe state of dis-repair.
With a wonderful waterfront location, the aim was to open up the interior structure to bring more natural light and water views inside. Now the new open planned living , dining and kitchen area, all face the water view. The old rear kitchen became a new second bedroom and the existing bathroom was given a new life. The former dark, one bedroom apartment is now a light and airy two bedroom apartment .
Many of the original timber features and period details were retained and brought back from the brink, through the determination of a hands- on client.
